Surface-correct method
The detail that lifts a whole house — and almost no one does it properly.
Fascia and soffit cleaning is one of those services where the result is genuinely transformative — and where doing it badly causes lasting damage. We do it the right way.
uPVC fascias, soffits and cladding pick up green algae, black weather streaks and general grime over time, particularly on north-facing elevations and under overhanging trees. Most homeowners stop noticing until they see a neighbour's freshly cleaned set.
We clean uPVC using a soft chemistry approach — specialist non-abrasive cleaners applied with brushes and microfibre rather than high pressure. Aggressive pressure-washing can score the uPVC surface, dull the finish permanently and force water behind the boards into the eaves.
Every job includes the fascia boards themselves, all visible soffits, the exterior of the gutters and downpipes, and any uPVC cladding or trim on the property. The transformation is usually immediate and substantial — gable ends in particular tend to look brand new.

How dirty fascias drag down the whole house.
It's not just cosmetic. Heavy biological growth on uPVC slowly degrades the plastic — and once UV damage sets in, no amount of cleaning will bring the finish back.
Permanent yellowing
Algae and lichen left on white uPVC for years leave permanent staining that no cleaning product will fully remove.
Surface degradation
Aggressive cleaning by inexperienced operators scores uPVC permanently. Once scored, the surface holds dirt forever and cannot be restored.
Reduced kerb appeal
Buyers and surveyors notice dirty fascias immediately — and read them as a signal of wider neglect, even when the rest of the property is well kept.
A clear, methodical system — built around your time and your property.
Inspection
We assess the surface, age, material and condition on site or from your photos — and quote in writing.
Preparation
Plants, drains and fragile fixtures are covered. Loose debris is cleared before cleaning begins.
Treatment
The correct chemistry and pressure for the surface — biocides, detergents or pure cleaning where appropriate.
Verification
A controlled rinse, inspection in natural light, and a walk-around with you to check every metre.
Completion
Site left spotless. Aftercare advice and a clear written invoice.
The benefits you'll actually notice — and the ones that pay for themselves.
Immediate visual lift
Fascia and soffit cleaning is one of the highest-impact exterior services per pound spent. The before-and-after is usually striking.
Protects the uPVC
Removing biological growth prevents long-term staining and slows UV-related surface damage.
Brightens the whole roofline
Clean fascias, soffits and gutter exteriors lift the entire elevation, particularly on red-brick homes where the contrast is most visible.
Pairs with other roof services
Done alongside a roof or gutter clean, the whole roofline is transformed in a single visit.
Safe access
Access equipment is matched to the property — ladders, towers or extension poles depending on the height — and risk-assessed before work starts.
No damage to render or paint
Our chemistry is render-safe and won't strip paint or damage adjacent surfaces — important on rendered properties.
How we clean fascia and soffit without damaging the uPVC.
uPVC is durable but it isn't bulletproof. The wrong approach causes permanent damage — here's the right one.
Why we don't pressure-wash uPVC
High-pressure water held against uPVC scores the surface, forces water behind the boards into eaves and roof voids, and can lift the foam-bonded backing on hollow soffit sections. Once uPVC is scored, dirt embeds into the micro-grooves and cannot be cleaned out — only replacement restores the original look.
Our cleaning chemistry
We use a specialist uPVC cleaner combining a mild detergent, a small fraction of biocide for algae control, and a surfactant to lift weather streaks. Applied with soft brushes on telescopic poles, allowed to dwell, then rinsed with low-pressure water. The plastic is left bright, the algae killed at the spore level, and no surface damage is done.
Cladding and trim
Modern uPVC and composite cladding is treated the same way. We test a small area first on coloured cladding to confirm there's no risk to the pigment, then proceed with the full elevation.
Access matched to the property
Some fascias are accessible with extension poles and brushes; higher or harder-to-reach properties need ladders, a tower or a MEWP. We assess on the survey and quote the right access transparently.
